In February of last year, intrepid adventurers Bob Pippin and Ron Gregory decided to circumnavigate an exotic body of water which beckons hardy travelers from all over the world, yet is located right in our backyard. That massive inland sea is the great Salton.

As they prepared for this arduous expedition, Pippin and Ron determined that an effort of this magnitude would require a larger crew, so they enlisted the participation of a couple of hardy friends. It was determined that the use of tandem kayaks would provide an additional measure of stability and comfort for the long journey, so two sturdy, Kevlar Seda Tango doubles were selected for the trip.

Starting out on a crisp, sunny winter day, the adventurers never imagined that the voyage would soon be fated for a terrifying struggle for survival, as Ron Gregory will recount for us in his stirring presentation Monday evening.
